The best company incorporation providers in Hong Kong
Ten firms that will set up a Hong Kong private limited company for you, scored on the quality of the company-secretarial work, the bank-account track record, what happens after incorporation, how plainly they explain the process, and how good the people are when something is unusual.
Disclosure. Hong Kong EOR Services is our own service. We score it on the same published criteria as every other provider on this page, and where a competitor beats us on a criterion we say so — in our entry and in theirs.

MSA Asia
Hong Kong corporate-services firm · incorporation, company secretary, accounting, taxThe firm we would send a friend to. MSA Asia’s core business is the statutory work that begins when the Certificate of Incorporation arrives — company secretary, registers, annual returns, audit coordination, profits tax — and its incorporation service is the front door to that. Advice is specific to your situation rather than templated, bank introductions are handled by people who know the relationship managers, and cross-border questions involving mainland China get answers from the same desk. It is not the cheapest or the most automated option, and it does not pretend to be.
Strengths
- Serious company-secretarial and tax competence
- Strong bank-account success with realistic advice about which bank
- Mainland China and cross-border structuring expertise
- One adviser from incorporation through the annual cycle
Watch for
- No app-style self-service
- Priced as advice, not as a commodity
RemotePeople
Global EOR · entity set-up across Greater China · Asia headquarters in ShanghaiBest for companies that have been employing through EOR and are ready for their own company. RemotePeople sets up the Hong Kong entity, transfers the employees across with continuity of service, and keeps running payroll, so the switch is invisible to staff. Its strength is the whole journey rather than incorporation as a standalone product; a founder who only wants a company and a bank account has more focused options above and below.
Strengths
- Seamless EOR-to-entity transition with staff transferred
- Greater China expertise from Shanghai and Hong Kong
- Payroll and HR continue without a break
Watch for
- Standalone incorporation is not its main business
- Bespoke rather than menu-priced
Hong Kong EOR Services
Hong Kong EOR, incorporation and payroll · own Hong Kong entityOur own service, disclosed as such. We incorporate Hong Kong companies mainly for clients who started with us on EOR and for employers who want the company and the payroll handled by one team. We do the statutory work properly — company secretary, Significant Controllers Register, annual returns — and we are candid about banking, which is the slow part everyone glosses over. MSA Asia is the deeper corporate-secretarial and tax practice and we rank it above ourselves for that reason.
Strengths
- Company, payroll, MPF and EC insurance set up together
- Employees move from EOR to your company with service continuity
- Plain-language guidance on directors, secretary and banking
Watch for
- Narrower tax and structuring advisory than MSA Asia or Acclime
- Hong Kong only
Acclime
Asia-Pacific corporate-services group · Hong Kong officeWell suited to a group adding a Hong Kong subsidiary alongside entities elsewhere in Asia. Acclime brings a strong compliance bench, consistent documentation across jurisdictions and a professional, process-driven service. Founders of single small companies may find the onboarding heavier than they need.
Strengths
- Multi-jurisdiction consistency across Asia-Pacific
- Strong tax and regulatory advisory
- Good for regulated and listed clients
Watch for
- Enterprise-style onboarding
- Not the fastest for a simple company
Hawksford
International corporate, private-client and fund services · Hong Kong officeA polished international firm whose Hong Kong practice is strongest for holding structures, family offices and clients with assets in several jurisdictions. Incorporation is done well; the value is in the structuring advice around it.
Strengths
- Private-client and structuring depth
- Multi-jurisdiction capability
- High-quality documentation
Watch for
- Oriented to wealthier and more complex clients
- Less focused on operating start-ups
Sleek
Online incorporation, accounting and company-secretary platformThe best of the app-first providers for Hong Kong. Incorporation, company secretary, bookkeeping and tax filing run through one dashboard, onboarding is fast and remote, and the experience is modern. When something is non-standard — unusual shareholders, regulated activities, a difficult bank — you will feel the limits of a platform.
Strengths
- Fast, remote, well-designed platform
- Bundled accounting and secretarial services
- Clear process
Watch for
- Human advice is thinner than at the firms above
- Non-standard cases fit the platform badly
Osome
Online incorporation and accounting platformSimilar in model to Sleek, with a particular following among e-commerce sellers and small online businesses. Competent and convenient for standard companies; the same platform limits apply.
Strengths
- Convenient for small standard companies
- Good bookkeeping integration for online sellers
Watch for
- Limited advisory depth
- Support is chat-first
Tricor (Vistra)
Large corporate-services provider · part of VistraOne of the largest corporate-services providers in Hong Kong, now part of Vistra, with a long history of share-registry and listed-company work. Excellent for complex groups; a small operating company will be a small client.
Strengths
- Scale and institutional processes
- Listed-company and share-registry expertise
Watch for
- Small clients receive proportionate attention
- Institutional pace and paperwork
Statrys
Hong Kong payment platform with incorporation serviceStatrys started as a business-account provider and added incorporation so that the account and the company could open together. If getting a working multi-currency account quickly is your main worry, that is a real advantage. The company-secretarial side is adequate rather than deep.
Strengths
- Business account and company opened together
- Multi-currency payments built in
Watch for
- Secretarial and advisory depth is limited
- Not a fit for complex structures
InCorp
Regional corporate-services group · Singapore-headquarteredA regional group with a Hong Kong office and strong Singapore roots. Sensible if you are incorporating in several ASEAN markets at the same time; for a Hong Kong-only company the local firms above offer more.
Strengths
- Multi-country ASEAN capability
- Reasonable process and documentation
Watch for
- Hong Kong is not its centre of gravity
- Less local depth than the Hong Kong-based firms
How we score
Each provider is scored out of ten on five criteria, weighted equally. Scores are our assessment of publicly available information and, where we have it, direct experience; they are opinions, not measurements.
Company-secretarial quality
Registers, the Significant Controllers Register, annual returns and resolutions done properly — the work that matters after the certificate arrives.
Banking track record
Realistic advice about which bank will accept your profile, and a record of getting accounts open.
After incorporation
Accounting, audit coordination, tax, payroll and MPF from the same firm, or a hand-off to someone else.
Transparency
Is the process, the timeline and what is and is not included explained plainly before you commit?
People
When the case is unusual, is there someone senior in Hong Kong who has seen it before?
Incorporation questions?
How long does incorporation take?
One to two working days at the Companies Registry for an online filing with complete documents; about a week to have statutory books, registers and the company secretary in place; two to six weeks for a traditional bank account.
Do I need a Hong Kong resident director?
No. Directors can be of any nationality and resident anywhere. The company secretary, however, must be a Hong Kong resident or a Hong Kong company — which is why every provider on this page offers the role.
What are the ongoing obligations?
An annual return, renewal of the Business Registration Certificate, audited financial statements, a profits tax return, an employer’s return if you have staff, and keeping the registers current. Miss the annual return and the late fees escalate quickly.
Is a virtual office address acceptable?
A registered office must be a physical Hong Kong address where documents can be served and the registers kept; a provider’s office address is the usual answer. A PO box is not acceptable.
Should I incorporate or use an EOR?
If you are hiring one to fifteen people and do not need to invoice Hong Kong clients or hold a licence, EOR is faster and lighter. Incorporate when you need the company itself.
